Supporting you and your family
Being a parent is hugely rewarding but rarely easy. Looking after a new baby or continuing to care for a lively young family when you need extra support yourself brings real challenges.
London Care is experienced in working with parents of all ages and disabilities, and can provide as much or as little support as you need to help family life run smoothly.
We’ll adapt our flexible care service so that it best continues to best meet your changing needs and those of your family. You may need temporary support while you find your own ways to do things like feeding, changing or bathing a baby, taking and collecting older children to school or making sure your children stay safe when you go out as a family.
Or you may need longer-term care support with ongoing tasks like washing, personal hygiene, doing the laundry, cleaning, shopping and preparing meals or attending appointments at parents’ evenings or with your doctor.
If you and your family are assessed by your local council’s social services team as needing support as a parent because of a disability, direct payments allow you to arrange and pay for your own care and support services. Alternatively, you may choose to organise your support privately.
Whatever your circumstances, London Care’s support workers can provide the support you need to make sure that you and your family lead an independent life.
